MCA-I Madison has two great opportunities for students.
#1 - MCA-I Madison has two scholarships they are offering to students. You must have at least one semester of school left. The scholarships are $1,000. The deadline is May 15, 2008. Applications are available on our web site, www.mcai-madison.org. Apply today!
#2 - Get recognized for the great work you can produce…students, enter the WAVE Awards Show. Even if you are graduating this spring, you are still eligible to enter as a student. Get your name out in front of the people who can make a difference in your future. While we extend the deadline until early September for students, don’t delay (or you might forget all about it). All rules and entry forms are available on our web site, www.mcai-madison.org.
Please pass this along to any students you know.

Do you wand to get local, if not national, recognition for you work? Have you been wanting a fancy award to put in your window and discourage your neighbors? Need a little extra something to brag about on your resume? Well then, dear students, tweak your best work and enter it into the Madison Advertising Federation’s annual design competition! It’s almost time to start entering, and there are three dates to drop off entries - Thursday, January 10 and Friday, January 11 and a drop-dead date (late fees apply) of Monday, January 14.
This year, you will be dropping off your entries at Studio R (formerly Radlund Photography), sponsor of the Call to Entry, at 4704 Pflaum Road, Madison. Look for the signs to direct you to the door to be used. If you are unable to drop off your entries, you may have them delivered to 7185 Hickory Run, Waunakee no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008.
You can view all the details and guidelines - including how to submit web work - in a PDF in small print here.Or, you could always just attend the show at The Overture Center in the Capitol Theatre on Saturday, February 23 for networking, snacking and maybe even drinking!

ViComm needs your help! Support your fellow students. Here’s the deal, submitted to me (and most of you, I’m sure) by the Madison Pants Party.
The time for the Madison Pants Party has arrived!

Two weeks ago, Apple sent out a challenge for amateur student filmmakers to make a three minute or less short movie, given certain restrictions. Madison Pants Party video group got together and completed the challenge. Now we need YOUR help to get the votes!
All you need is an Apple ID, watch our video and vote! All this should take, video included, less than 5 minutes.
First off, please sign up for an Apple ID. It is free and all you need to sign up is a valid email address.
